The Lisbon team "Benfica" denied the early predictions and managed to surpass the Turin team "Juventus" in Group H of the UEFA Champions League and advance to the knockout rounds.

Furthermore, the determined Portuguese were able to leave behind the wealthy PSG team and secure the first place.

After the final round of matches, UEFA had to use rarely used calculations to determine the winner of Group H.

This happened because PSG and "Benfica" both had the same number of points, the same goal difference (+9), had drawn in their head-to-head matches, and scored the same number of goals.

Ultimately, everything came down to the rule that gives preference to the team that scored more away goals.
