On Thursday afternoon, a match of the eighth round of the A League took place at the Vilnius LFF Stadium.
The match featured Edgaras Jankauskas' team "Trakai" against the formal guests of this match from Pakruojis' club "Kruoja."
"Kruoja" took the lead in the first half when Ričardas Beniušis converted a penalty kick in the 34th minute.
In the middle of the second half, the score was doubled by the legionnaire from Ivory Coast Jean Thome.
Tadas Labukas gave hope to "Trakai" with a goal in the 82nd minute, but in injury time, R. Beniušis scored two more goals, leaving the field with a hat-trick, and the team celebrated its third victory in the national championship, climbing to fourth place in the league table.
