Stambul's squad will be supplemented by Madrid's forward Diego Forlan in the near future, announces NTV.
The Turkish team has been trying to acquire the 31-year-old Uruguayan for some time now, and it seems like they will finally be successful. Besiktas has decided to pay around 10 million euros for Forlan, despite the fact that the player's form this season has not been impressive.
After shining in the World Cup last summer, Forlan later struggled to find his game and scored only eight goals in 32 matches in the Spanish league.
Besiktas' team includes well-known European footballers such as Simao, Ricardo Quaresma, Guti, Nihat, Hugo Almeida. However, in the Turkish league, the Istanbul team is only in fifth place and is lagging behind the leader Istanbul's "Fenerbahce" by 29 points.
