Stambul's "Besiktas" in January plans to acquire one of the greatest Brazilian footballers of all time. That is the Atletico Mineiro defender Ronaldinho.
According to the Turkish media, club representatives have already met with the 33-year-old Brazilian's agent and started negotiations.
However, they did not start successfully, as "Besiktas" cannot afford the salary that Ronaldinho is asking for, so in the near future the team owners will try to find new sponsors.
A member of the Istanbul team's board, Ahmet Kavalci, told journalists: "Our goal is to acquire the Brazilian Ronaldinho."
This person also confirmed rumors that "Besiktas" is seriously considering the possibility of acquiring Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott.
"At the moment, we are in talks with Manchester City about the defender Lescott. We will be able to provide more information about this on Thursday," A. Kavalci concluded.
