"Betis" and "Real" match ended goalless © EuroFootball.com

On Thursday, the last Copa del Rey quarter-final match was played. Madrid's "Real" could not break through Sevilla's "Betis" defense and the match ended goalless.

Sevilla 0 - 0 Madrid "Real"

In a rather dull duel, both teams created few opportunities, and it was the third consecutive match for "Real" players where they failed to score.

In these matches, Fabio Capello did not field either David Beckham, who will be playing in the USA this summer, Ronaldo, or Antonio Cassano, all of whom are also linked to moves to other clubs.

Capello's starting lineup consisted mainly of young players, including newcomers Fernando Gago and Gonzalo Higuain, for whom it was a debut in the Royal Club.

Occupying only the 18th place in the Spanish championship, "Betis" also did not have the strongest lineup on the field, but at the beginning of the match, they had a slight play advantage.

The other first quarter-final matches were played on Tuesday and Wednesday, and the second leg matches will be played next week.
