The richest man in Africa, Aliko Dangote, claims to still have hopes of buying the London "Arsenal" club. The 58-year-old businessman, whose wealth is estimated at 13.5 billion euros, made an offer for the capital's team back in 2010, but it was rejected at that time.
"I still hope that one day I will acquire this team at a reasonable price," Dangote told Bloomberg Business. "I would buy it, but the price should not be absurd. It should be one that no owner can resist. I know my strategy."
However, Dangote, who has made his fortunes from cement production, sugar production, and oil, says that before making a new offer for "Arsenal," he will focus on expanding his business.
The billionaire is a fan of the club but criticizes the head coach Arsene Wenger. According to Dangote, the Frenchman "needs to change his style a bit," and the team should move in a new direction.
