Ambitious club is not going to give up on trying to attract David Beckham and Ronaldinho and now has a new target - Argentine football star Juan Roman Riquelme.
However, it is not expected that the deal could happen this month.
"Juan is on the list of players that interest us, but I don't think it will happen during this transfer window," said Blackburn coach Steve Kean. "We can only expect famous footballers in the summer."
Last summer, Riquelme signed a four-year contract with Buenos Aires' Boca Juniors.
