In the portal "EuroFootball.com" - football fan Subo BLOGS about current football events.

The cycle continues. Today - England.

Again, it happened that I included few champions. Somehow even Yaya didn't find a place, although it was the hardest to decide on the center backs, but what won was that without Rooney MU this year would have been completely toothless, besides, he had to play in an unusual position, and Gerrard was a complete renaissance. Yaya - almost an ordinary perfect season. In addition to the fact that there were few representatives of MC, the injuries that plagued their leaders also contributed.

Symbolic composition:

GK Szczesny Arsenal

Arsenal goalkeepers have almost become legends. And Szczesny was not considered a strong link in the club for a long time, often talked about possible new jobs for famous goalkeepers, Arsenal was mentioned. After this season, such talk should not remain. The Pole played a monstrous season and often dragged his team. His colleague Fabianski also played so well that if he doesn't change his mind about leaving, he will easily find a new job.

LB Evra MU

A kind of French renaissance happened when it was needed most. Together with Rooney, he was the best player of this season for MU. He was the only consistently good player in the defensive line, and since MU's attacks often got stuck, his three assists were very important.

CB Skrtel Liverpool

Yes, he made mistakes. But it was a tough season for him - partners in the heart of defense were changed quite often, and he can be considered the only solid starter of all center-backs. If not for his fairly stable play, Liverpool would have had many more problems.

CB Demichel Man. City

Nastasić and Kompany played significantly fewer matches than expected before the season, so Demichel's role was much more important than expected. He had a hard time getting used to it, but after New Year, he settled in and his contribution to Man City's gold was significant.

RB Coleman Everton

Until now, more attention has been paid to another Everton full-back - Baines. However, this season the Irishman played superbly and was one of the most powerful weapons in Everton's first season after the end of the Moyes era. He made few mistakes in defense and contributed tremendously with 6 goals in attack. He is 25 years old, so buyers may also appear.

CM Gerrard Liverpool

He played one of the best seasons of his career. If not for one painfully lost ball, he could have become EPL champion. He was a true general in the middle of the field, dictating the game.

CM Rooney MU

He played where needed - both in the attack, as well as behind van Persie, as an attacking midfielder. Although he received a lot of criticism, he was one of the few MU players who was consistent and drove the club forward. He had previously been tried in an unfamiliar position, but this year he did very well.

LW Hazard Chelsea

He brought different colors to Mourinho's cold and calculated style. In crucial matches, even wingers sometimes played those who could do most in defense. Hazard was an exception to the rule. The Belgian scored 14 goals and was the most productive player in his club.

RW Sterling Liverpool

England has another great talent. It was known for a long time, but this season was the first where Sterling matured and his contribution to the results was very significant. It was close to hitting a two-digit number of goals in the EPL. He was a big threat to everyone, often coming up from the bench and bringing a lot of energy.

CF Suarez Liverpool

A phenomenal season. Even in friendly matches with scary facial expressions during the summer, he showed how painful it was for him to play for Liverpool, but at the start of the season, he proved that when it comes to classic true forwards, he is the best player in the world.

CF Sturridge Liverpool

It's hard to say how Sturridge would have looked if he had played the whole season with a different partner in attack, but with Suarez, it seemed that England, even without Rooney, had a top-notch forward. He was sharp and played good football. If Rooney is in good shape, then good attacking play can be expected from England.

Coach Rodgers

He achieved his goal - Liverpool fought for the title. When he was appointed as head coach, it was clear that the project could be successful, but it took a while to see the results. There wasn't much reason for optimism before the season - goalkeepers changed, Suarez publicly showed that he wanted to leave. Although apart from Mignolet, all other newcomers did not stand out, but probably the crucial factor was time. Rodgers has matured and toughened his players. Therefore, an excellent result was achieved.

Bravo Southampton

There wasn't much expected from them before the season. I didn't think they would drop to a lower league, but I predicted they would be 16th. It was clear that their youth was good. That Pochettino was not a bad coach, too. However, after this season, it seems that he is quite a brilliant coach and sooner or later will move to the helm of some super club. Shaw, Lallana, Rodriguez, Schneiderlin are very talented guys who are worthy of better clubs. Although, of course, Southampton itself was also very good this year.

Underachievers Fulham

Summer changes seemed to be for the better - a change of ownership, goalkeeper. There were no major losses, the newcomers were not bad. It could have been a typical season where Fulham is at the bottom of the first ten or at the top of the second. But the season turned out to be catastrophic. The team's defense was absolutely pitiful. Even after Jol replaced Meulensteen, later even Magath didn't change the situation much. After a long break, the team left the EPL.
