BLOG: We should look for losers like yesterday's Ivans for a long time (PHOTO) © EuroFootball.com

In the portal "EuroFootball.com" - football fan Subo's BLOGs about current football events.

Impressions from a rather dull evening in beautiful Nione (friendly match Lithuania - Russia):

1. Sernas. The genius was not on the field that evening, but Sernas was one of those who made the best impression. He was active, trying to get into the attack as quickly as possible whenever there was an opportunity.

Of course, like everyone else, he was terribly inaccurate in trying to finish chances. Velička, for whom he had created a great opportunity, also failed to take advantage of it.

2. Arshavin. Sometimes it seemed that he was probably the strongest individual player in the match. He sparkled, created, but his efforts were mostly spoiled by his teammates making silly passes or failing to outsmart the Lithuanian defenders.

3. Šetkus. In reality, he should be our 4-5th goalkeeper, but he played solidly. Of course, finding such losers as yesterday's Ivans would take a long time, but he was always ready if more serious trouble arose and he took his position very accurately in set pieces.

4. Pavlyuchenko. He revived the sluggish Russian attack a bit, but a few chances he had were also shamelessly wasted. But overall, one of the better players among the Russian players yesterday, as at least the commentator had the opportunity to say his name more than once.

5. Laszlo. Lithuania did not show wonders, but played intelligently. Although the Russians did not push too hard in attack, our defenders and goalkeeper were always in their positions. Quick attacks were executed quite dangerously. Essentially, you could see what the possible face of the national team could be in the near future. And when our second composition does not concede goals against the Russians, it can definitely be said that the match was excellent, even if the view on the field was dull.
