„Stoke City“ forward Bojan Krkic says that although he enjoyed representing „Barcelona“, life in England is more pleasant for him.
The Spaniard, once compared to Lionel Messi, spent a year on loan at Ajax in Amsterdam and this summer moved from „Barca“ to sign a four-year contract with the team led by Mark Hughes.
Bojan has so far made seven appearances in the „Potters“ shirt, scoring one goal. The forward claims to enjoy playing in the Premier League significantly more than in Spain.
„In Barcelona, I like the passion, but I grew up in a Latin country. On the other hand, I feel better here. In Spain, as well as Italy, people do not respect players,“ said the Stoke legionnaire.
„England - a completely different world. Fans admire footballers, but also show respect. It is better and calmer here.“
„I knew that „Stoke“ is a historic club, and when I found out that Mark wants to see me in this team, it was great motivation.“
„The first few months were important because I needed to improve my physical shape and get used to the new league. Everyone will agree that the more you play, the more you get into the rhythm.“
„I think in some matches we played really well, but fans claim that the best game for me was against „Tottenham“. That time I scored, and we managed to achieve a victory.“
Bojan also revealed that his former teammate Thierry Henry encouraged him to move to England. The Spaniard also spoke about the differences in life in Catalonia.
„In Barcelona, there were 5000 people watching our training sessions, and we were being filmed by television. It is a completely different everyday life.“
