"Stoke City" team announced that the contract with former "Barcelona" player Bojan Krkic has been extended until the summer of 2020.
The Spanish forward successfully recovered from a serious knee injury experienced in January 2015 and this season already scored five goals in the "Premier" league. The trio of Krkic, Marko Arnautovic, and Xherdan Shaqiri received numerous compliments this season and helped the "Stoke" team rise to seventh place in the English standings.
"I am very happy and motivated. "Stoke City" has given me the opportunity to play in the most competitive league in the world - the "Premier" league, and I can express only gratitude for their trust and treatment of me since the first day in England."
"Mark Hughes convinced me to join the 'Stoke' team. He also helped me a lot and always believed in me. The coach closely monitored my rehabilitation process, so without any doubts, I signed a new contract. The fans have always supported me, whether on the field, when I was injured, or every time I left the stadium. They are very passionate, and I can proudly say that together with my teammates, we feel their warmth and support every day. This is very important to me and motivates me to improve even more and give my all," Bojan said on the club's website.
After three failures in the "Premier" league, "Stoke" dropped to eleventh place, and the next match will be played this Saturday against the "Bournemouth" team.
