In order to secure a place in the "DFB Pokal" tournament final, Munich's "Bayern" faced Dortmund's "Borussia" in the second semi-final. After a hard-fought battle, the "yellow-blacks" emerged victorious with a score of 3-2 against the previous season's tournament champions and advanced to the final.
The first goal of the match was scored in the 19th minute - Marco Reus punished the Bavarian defense after a mistake by Javi Martinez.
However, by the 28th minute, a defender from Spain corrected his error - scoring the equalizer from a corner kick. As if that wasn't enough, in the 41st minute, "Borussia" fell behind again - with Mats Hummels scoring after a great pass from Franck Ribery.
In the second half, the visitors from Dortmund were not willing to give up and managed to score two goals, leading them to the tournament final.
In the 69th minute, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang equalized with a header, and in the 74th minute, Ousmane Dembele scored a brilliant winning goal through individual skill.
This season has not been very successful for the "Bayern" team - they will most likely only fight for the German "Bundesliga" title.
"Borussia" will face Frankfurt's "Eintracht" in the German cup final. The match for the tournament trophy will take place at the Berlin stadium on May 27th.
