"Dortmund's 'Borussia' will most likely lose their long-time team center-back Mats Hummels this summer. The 'Yellow and Blacks' confirmed on their official website that the footballer has expressed his desire to move to Munich's 'Bayern' in the summer.
The 27-year-old defender has been linked with a move to 'Bayern' for several years. However, the player's desire will not be enough, and the Bavarians will have to dig deep into their pockets.
"Mats Hummels informed us about his desire to leave the team this summer and join league rivals Munich's 'Bayern'," it is written on the official BVB website.
'Borussia' wants to add that Hummels' sale will only be considered if an exceptional value offer is made. At the moment, there has been no formal offer from competitors.
The club would like to emphasize that Mats Hummels, like several other 'Borussia' players, does not have a release clause in his contract. Currently, the player is technically committed to the club until June 30, 2017," writes BVB.
M. Hummels has been playing for 'Borussia' since 2008. Before that, the defender represented 'Bayern' and is a product of their academy."
