Dortmund's "Borussia" defeated the recent Bundesliga upstarts "Heidenheim". The match ended 4:2 in favor of the hosts.

In the 11th minute, Donyell Malen put BVB ahead. Shortly thereafter, Karim Adeyemi doubled the score.

Marvin Pieringer scored for the visitors in the 39th minute. However, two minutes later, Adeyemi restored BVB's two-goal lead.

Maximilian Breunig brought back the intrigue with a goal in the 74th minute – 3:2.

During stoppage time, "Borussia" secured the victory with an 11-meter penalty by Emre Can.

The Dortmund team climbed above "Heidenheim" in the league table.
