European vice champions are fighting for the acquisition of the leader of the Armenian national team.
Borussia Dortmund has made a 23 million euro offer for Shakhtar Donetsk's defender Henrikh Mkhitaryan, which is also of interest to Liverpool.
However, the president of the Ukrainian team, Serhiy Palkin, stated that the player will not be sold for that amount and any offer to acquire him must be higher.
"Dortmund offered 23 million euros. I contacted Mkhitaryan's agent and explained our position. We are willing to sell the defender for 30 million euros. If the player wants to leave, this amount must be paid in full within 10 days," said Palkin.
The club president also assures that Liverpool has not made an official offer.
After last season, one of the most important players of the team, Mario Gotze, left Borussia Dortmund, so the "yellow-blacks" are looking for a replacement for him. Among the candidates, Ajax defender Christian Eriksen is also mentioned.
