Anger is growing in Europe over the rising prices of tickets to football matches. Fans of Borussia Dortmund decided to express their protest during the German Cup match against Stuttgart. The most loyal fans did not show up at the beginning of the match and instead a banner with the words "Football must be affordable" hung in their places. Finally, the fans started throwing tennis balls onto the field, and the referee was forced to temporarily halt the match. In Stuttgart's Mercedes-Benz Arena, tickets for standing places for visitors cost 19.50 euros, while the cheapest seats cost 38.50 euros.
