Returning to the Champions League quarterfinals was the collective work of the entire Dortmund "Borussia" team, but one player stood out.
Marcel Sabitzer, who made two assists and scored one goal, etched his name into Austrian football history in the context of the Champions League.
According to "Opta" statistics, M. Sabitzer, who contributed to three goals, became the first Austrian to do so in a knockout match under the current format. He has been included since the 2003-04 season.
"Borussia" defeated "Atletico" 4:2 (aggregate score - 5:4) and advanced to the semifinals.
