"Borussia" Dortmund will not oppose the departure of one team symbol Mats Hummels.
It was previously reported that the 27-year-old defender is actively interested in various foreign teams.
It was even reported that the footballer has already preliminarily agreed with the Munich "Bayern" club.
The head of the "Borussia" team, Hans-Joachim Watzke, assured that Hummels' departure is possible.
"It would be short-sighted to forbid him to leave. We have to understand that the defender has already given eight years to our team and is approaching his 28th birthday.
Of course, if other clubs are not ready to offer a substantial amount, he will stay in Dortmund."
Hummels' contract with "Borussia" is valid until the summer of 2017.
