UEFA Champions League finalist Borussia Dortmund has set its sights on Ajax's promising midfielder Christian Eriksen from the Netherlands.
The German club became interested in the Dutch team's attacking midfielder after it was revealed that they will have to do without one of their leaders Mario Gotze next season.
The 21-year-old Dane himself did not rule out the possibility of wearing the Borussia jersey: "Borussia Dortmund? It wouldn't be a bad choice. We played against them twice and lost both times. It would be fun to play there."
"I haven't heard anything concrete from my agent, but I would take the opportunity to move if one arises. If we don't get an offer, I will sign a new contract with Ajax because I want to be sold for as much as possible."
The player currently has a contract with Ajax until the summer of 2014, but it is expected that he will leave the club this summer. Several English clubs, such as Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool, are also interested in the promising footballer.
Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund continues to look for new leaders. It is rumored that striker Robert Lewandowski will be replaced by Edin Dzeko, who currently plays for Manchester City.
