"Bournemouth" will have to do without striker Callum Wilson until the end of the season.
The Premier League club confirmed the worst predictions - during training on Wednesday, the 24-year-old Englishman injured his leg, and thorough tests revealed a torn cruciate ligament.
"We were all saddened by the news about Callum. Last season he showed incredible character when he returned to the field after a similar injury, so I have no doubt that the same striker will do the same now," - said team coach Eddie Howe.
In 20 Premier League matches, Wilson scored 6 goals.
