Brandao who attacked T.Mottà punished with one month's imprisonment (VIDEO)

„Paris Saint Germain“ footballer Thiago Motta was attacked by „Bastia“ member Brandao during a French championship match and was sentenced to a 20,000 euros fine and a month of imprisonment. The court allowed Brandao to reconcile with T.Motta and thereby avoid imprisonment.

The 34-year-old Brazilian attacked T.Motta in the tunnel during the match on August 16, where players access the locker rooms. The video shows that „Bastia“ member Brandao specifically waited for his opponent and hit T.Motta in the face with his head.

For this assault, the „Ligue 1“ disciplinary committee has already punished the „Bastia“ player with a six-month disqualification, and the prosecutor in court sought Brandao to be imprisoned for 8 months. The prosecutor argued that the player's action was premeditated, not just a moment of anger.

„During our dispute on the pitch, he told me that he would wait for me outside the pitch later. I had no idea he would actually do it,“ said T.Motta.
