From 2003 to 2008, Brazil worked as the coach of the Portuguese national football team. It is alleged that the coach is accused of evading taxes during this period.
In a public statement, L.F. Scolari briefly stated: "I always declared taxes and did so in all countries where I worked."
The Portuguese prosecutor's office confirmed that a criminal case has been initiated, but did not disclose any further details.
The case was initiated just a month before the World Cup in Brazil.
