Fans of the Brazilian national team, who have experienced a fiasco in the World Cup, do not hide their anger - it is reported that they burned a 7-meter-tall statue of the best footballer on the planet, Ronaldinho.
The statue, made of resin and metal, stood in the city of Chapeco, in the state of Santa Catarina, but was severely burned overnight from Saturday to Sunday and is now hardly recognizable.
Unveiled in 2004, the sculpture depicted Ronaldinho with a ball and was created to honor the Brazilian who was elected the best football player in the world for the first time that year.
Despite a great season with the team, at the World Cup the 26-year-old forward was in his own shadow and, like other team members, received a lot of harsh criticism.
It is worth mentioning that fans 'welcomed' the team leaving Germany with sharp remarks, curses, and indecent gestures.
