Brazilians proved superiority against Colombia in emotional match (VIDEO)

On Saturday the quarterfinal matches of the World Championship began. The tournament hosts, the Brazilians, won 2-1 against the impressive Colombian team in highly emotional matches.

At the beginning of the match, the Brazilians did not allow their opponents to demonstrate their game.

Soon, the first goal of the match fell. After a corner kick, Sanchez left T. Silva completely free, who directed the ball into the goal from a few meters away - 1-0.

Cuadrado tried to respond, but the winger's shot flew wide.

In the 16th minute, there was a scuffle near the goal of Jose Pekerman's coached team, but the Brazilians remained unfazed.

Hulk, posing the biggest threat to Colombia's goal, failed to take advantage of great opportunities to double the score - his attempts were blocked by Ospina.

In the end, there was a lot of passion and almost a mass brawl broke out when the championship hosts tried to unlawfully disrupt the opponents' quick passing.

In the 43rd minute, Neymar missed the target when taking a penalty shot.

The Colombian team failed to push the Brazilians towards the goal. In the 58th minute, Guarin tried to score an impressive goal by driving the ball into the goal without stopping it, but luck smiled on the Brazilians once again.

After a few minutes, T. Silva played recklessly and earned a foul against the opponent's goalkeeper playing the ball - the defender was punished with a yellow card and will have to miss the next matches.

In the 66th minute, the ball ended up in the championship hosts' goal after a penalty kick, but the referee signaled for an offside. Soon after, D. Luiz's star shone - the defender impressively converted a long-range penalty shot and left no chances for Ospina - 2-0.

The Colombians attacked the Brazilian goal and it paid off - Bacca was brought down by J.Cesar and the referee awarded a penalty kick, which the tournament's top scorer J.Rodriguez easily converted - 2-1.

At the end of the match, Neymar suffered a back injury and was substituted.

Pekerman's players still tried to save themselves, but their efforts were in vain.
