Officially announced that the record-breaking amount did not spare the "Brighton & Hove Albion" club, acquiring Eindhoven PSV midfielder Davy Propper.
However, the exact amount of money paid for him is not disclosed by the "Premier" league newcomers. It is only clear that their record has already been improved for the second time this summer. The first time this happened was when they acquired goalkeeper Mathew Ryan.
The 25-year-old Dutchman signed a four-year contract with "Brighton".
"Davy is a player with excellent experience in the Eredivisie with Arnham's "Vitesse" and Eindhoven PSV," - said coach Chris Hughton on the official club website.
"There is no doubt about his ability - Davy has played many matches in the Champions League and international matches with the Netherlands national team within PSV,"
"He is strong as a midfielder and will complement the existing midfielders. He is also only 25 years old. We are very happy to welcome him to the club."
Propper helped the PSV team win the Dutch title in the 2015-2016 season.
