On the last day of the summer transfer window, London's Arsenal submitted a €100 million offer for Thomas Lemar and agreed on his transfer in the winter, according to the English newspaper "Daily Star".
The deal on August 31 did not go through due to difficulties in signing the contract, as the attacking midfielder from Monaco was with the French national team at the time. However, there were also reports that the player himself did not want to move to the English capital.
Nevertheless, it is now claimed that the "Gunners" managed to entice the 21-year-old talent with a weekly salary of 250,000 pounds sterling.
Even more interestingly, Arsenal is hoping to keep Alex Sanchez, whose departure would have made way for Lemar in August. The Chilean's contract is only valid until next summer, but Monaco will not let his transfer depend on his situation.
