On Sunday, two matches took place in the first Bundesliga of Germany - Leverkusen's "Bayer" crushed "Hannover" away, while "Bochum" and "Hertha" played in a draw.

Although AWD-Arena in Hanover was full, the opening of the reconstructed stadium was spoiled by Leverkusen's "Bayer" footballers. After the first half, the visitors already led with a two-goal advantage and in the second half extended their lead, pushing "Hannover" to eighth place and themselves rising to sixth place.

In the other match, the underdog "Bochum" played against Berlin's "Hertha", who occupied the fifth place. The hosts were already trailing 0-2 after the first sixteen minutes, but later recovered and salvaged a draw.
