In the German „Bundesliga“ championship, once again, the players of Dortmund's „Borussia“ lost points. E. Terzič's players played 1:1 at home with the bottom-placed team „Mainz“. The guests took the lead in the 57th minute, after L. Oztunali's goal. T. Meunier equalized the score in the 73rd minute. The hosts had several chances to take the lead. In the 2nd minute of the second half, the referee, after a VAR review, detected an offside and disallowed E. Haaland's goal. In the 76th minute, M. Reus failed to convert a penalty kick. After these draws, BVB team is in 4th position in the league table, while „Mainz“ moved up to the penultimate place.
