The 27th round of the Bundesliga championships unfolded perfectly for the visiting clubs. On Wednesday, the final five matches took place, in which even four hosts suffered defeats. Bayer Leverkusen defeated the tournament underdogs, Darmstadt, 2-0 on the road. Ingolstadt narrowly avoided wasting a three-goal lead against Augsburg, winning 3-2. RB Leipzig, in second place, forced Mainz 05 to surrender with the same result - 3-2. The competitive opponents managed to narrow the gap at the end of the match, despite playing with a reduced squad from the 89th minute after Jean-Philippe Gbamin received a red card.
