On Sunday, two more matches of the 25th round of the English Premier League were played.
The first match, at 15:30 Lithuanian time, took place at Turf Moor Stadium, where Burnley clashed with the league leaders, Chelsea. Antonio Conte's team started the match strongly, but the hosts managed to take points from the leaders, ending in a 1-1 draw.
Chelsea started the match aggressively - the visitors from the capital were actively pushing towards the opponents' penalty area and creating dangerous opportunities. The first goal did not take long to arrive - in the 7th minute, Pedro scored a precise shot to put the visitors ahead.
After the goal, Chelsea continued to demonstrate an active game, but in the 24th minute, the score became even when goalkeeper Robbie Brady converted a great penalty kick.
In the second half, Burnley spent most of the time in their penalty area, while Chelsea attempted to break through the opponent's defense.
Conte's team had possession most of the time, but they could not create dangerous opportunities for the Premier League leaders in the second half, and Burnley could celebrate a draw.
Despite the draw, Chelsea increased their lead over second-placed Tottenham to 10 points. However, Manchester City will have the opportunity to reduce the gap to eight points tomorrow.
In the last match of the evening, the two bottom teams of the table met - Swansea hosted Leicester City. The English champions reached a tragic stage of the season - after the defeat, the Foxes found themselves in the relegation zone.
Swansea secured a victory with goals from Alfie Mawson and Martin Olsson, marking their third win in the last five matches.
Leicester currently shows the poorest form among all Premier League teams - five consecutive losses. Claudio Ranieri's team has 21 points and is only one point away from the 18th place.
