On late Sunday evening, the football world was shaken by the news of the creation of the Super League by 12 European clubs. Among the teams involved in founding the league were six English clubs and three each from Spain and Italy. The league's official statement stated that three more teams will be sought to join the establishment of the Super League. It was believed that among these three teams would be Dortmund's "Borussia". However, journalist Fabrizio Romano announced that BVB's managing director Hans-Joachim Watzke confirmed that the German club has no intention of joining the new league. Watzke also revealed that Munich's "Bayern" is currently maintaining the same position. Soon after, F. Romano reported that "RB Leipzig" also does not plan to join the European Super League.
