BVB seeks to extend contract with L. Favre

Last summer, Lucien Favre, who took the helm of the Borussia team at Dormund, is doing well with his duties so far. Despite the fact that the club withdrew from the German Cup, BVB confidently leads the Bundesliga championship and continues to fight in the UEFA Champions League. The club management is satisfied with these results, and the team's director, Hans-Joachim Watzke, openly stated that negotiations will be held with the coach regarding the extension of the contract, which is valid until the summer of 2020. "It is logical that we will talk to the coach about extending the contract because he simply does a great job. There is good cooperation within the club, and we want it to continue. The team is on the right path, which is essentially thanks to Lucien. It is not yet clear when we will have discussions with the coach, but we will definitely find the right time for it. We do not want to create unnecessary pressure," Watzke told Sport Bild. The specialist from Switzerland has worked in the past with clubs such as Nice, Monchengladbach, and Hertha, and at the beginning of his career, he coached several teams in his country.
