The head coach of Madrid's "Real" Carlo Ancelotti spoke at a press conference before the match with Bilbao's "Athletic", saying that he admires "Porto's" right-back Danilo, but no agreement regarding the player has been reached yet.
Yesterday rumors spread in the Spanish press that the royal club had previously reached an agreement with "Porto" for the 23-year-old footballer, costing 25 million euros.
"I don't think I need to talk to Arbeloa and Carvajal about Danilo," - a possible new competitor was mentioned at the press conference.
"They are not interested in various speculations during the season, so we certainly didn't talk about Danilo. During this period, there is no talk in the team about potential newcomers.
"Of course, I know many European players, as I follow all football championships. I also know Danilo well and I think I like him, but there are many other players in Europe for whom I also have sympathy," added C. Ancelotti.
This season, the Brazilian put on a great sporting form within the ranks of "Porto", scoring four goals in the 30 games played. Danilo would most likely replace Alvaro Arbeloa in "Real".
