C. Ancelotti: I could have coached "Man Utd"

Currently working with Liverpool's "Everton" team, Italian Carlo Ancelotti spoke about the opportunity to work with "Man Utd." The experienced coach had such a chance when in 2013 the legendary "Red Devils" strategist Alex Ferguson retired. "What do you want to know about my previous opportunities to lead 'Man Utd'? I can reveal that I have always had fantastic relationships with A. Ferguson and we met when he finished his career. However, at that time I was close to an agreement with Madrid's "Real" and was thankful for that conversation. I did not receive any more offers like that," said C. Ancelotti. In 2013, he joined hands with "Real" and worked there for two years. Meanwhile, "Man Utd" hired David Moyes, who did not last long in the team and was dismissed due to poor results.
