C. Ancelotti: Madrid doesn't need another striker - K. Benzema is the ideal partner for C. Ronaldo

The head coach of Munich's "Bayern" Carlo Ancelotti, giving an interview to an Italian newspaper, did not forget to add a few sentences about his former Madrid "Real" club.

C. Ancelotti trained the "white" team for two years and knows the current team's capabilities the best. There is a lot of criticism in the press towards Karim Benzema, who did not score many goals, but is still the main striker of the team.

Meanwhile, Alvaro Morata, who often appears after substitutions or plays in less important matches, managed to surpass the Frenchman in terms of goals this season. However, C. Ancelotti has a firm opinion on the striker's position and fully understands Zinedine Zidane's choice.

"Morata plays so little in Madrid because Benzema is the ideal partner for Cristiano Ronaldo," said C. Ancelotti. "They understand each other perfectly, and Karim always gives Ronaldo freedom. Zidane is very intelligent and understands football."

C. Ancelotti also highlighted his former team's players, who, together with C. Ronaldo, left the biggest impression on him: "I had players like Modric, Ramos, Marcelo and Benzema. They were truly excellent, and I am delighted that they are in my team."

C. Ancelotti received a harsh lesson this season from Z. Zidane's team - "Real" eliminated Munich's "Bayern" from the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals with an overall score of 6-3.
