London's "Chelsea" defender Cesc Fabregas says that his teammate Eden Hazard has as much influence on the team's game as Lionel Messi has at Barcelona.
Fabregas played alongside the four-time best player in the world for three seasons before moving to Stamford Bridge.
Both the Spaniard and Hazard are in excellent form this year. The Belgian national team member earned and converted a penalty in the last Premier League match and helped Chelsea secure a victory against the rival team Arsenal.
"He is our link between defense and attack. He is our Messi because he has a great impact on the game," Fabregas told the Spanish radio station Cope.
"Our team is young, but we are positive in our mindset."
The Spanish national team defender said that he always played for the clubs he wanted to. He revealed that this summer he had three offers from England, but saw Chelsea as the best opportunity.
