Having moved to the London club "Chelsea", the midfielder Cesc Fabregas revealed that the "Arsenal" manager Arsene Wenger did not want to buy him from the "Barcelona" team.
This week, the catalan moved to the English capital of London for 27 million pounds sterling, but did not return to his former team.
Playing for "Chelsea" since then, the 27-year-old midfielder claims that nobody was waiting for him at "Arsenal".
"When I decided that my time at "Barca" club was over, I looked at what would be the best choice for me. Due to contract terms, we first talked to "Arsenal", but Arsene Wenger told me that the position where I play belongs to Mesut Ozil and that it would be difficult for both of us to find a place on the field," he said.
"I wanted to return to the Premier League, so I had to look for other options. I had many offers, logical choices. I spoke with Jose Mourinho and he convinced me very quickly. I am happy and I think everything will work out well," said C. Fabregas.
The midfielder spent three years in Barcelona, where he played 151 official matches. C. Fabregas contributed 42 goals and 57 assists to the club's results.
