The Netherlands crushed the Romanian national team 3-0 in the Euro Championship quarter-finals. The Dutch, who performed excellently after the group stage, were led by Cody Gakpo, who scored a goal and made an assist.

After the match, the Dutch hero said: "Good game, good goals, good football. We reacted very well after the previous match.

We never felt a real threat from Romania. Maybe the fans watching the game at home felt differently, but on the field it was calm."

Meanwhile, Netherlands national team coach Ronald Koeman, praising Xavi Simons' excellent performance, said: "We defended very well, Romania hardly created anything. A great victory."

V. van Dijk added: "We were very solid in defense. We should have scored more goals. In the end, we can only be proud of ourselves."
