Just a few weeks after securing a place in the starting lineup, Callum Hudson-Odoi will no longer run onto the field this season.
The 18-year-old footballer ruptured his Achilles tendon in the match against "Burnley". The English player will not only miss the remaining "Chelsea" matches, but also the final stage of the Nations League this summer.
After speaking with the media following the match, Maurizio Sarri's assistant Gianfranco Zola confirmed that C. Hudson-Odoi suffered a serious injury: "It's an Achilles tendon injury. I can't say for sure when he will return to the field. He will need tests, but at first glance, it didn't look good."
C. Hudson-Odoi played from the first minute in all of the last four "Premier League" matches.
In total, the promising English player played 29 games this season, scoring six goals and providing seven assists.
