In Italy, passions are rising over the future national team coach.
The strategist will face a difficult task - to restore the reputation of a team that did not qualify for the World Cup.
"Fox Sports" interviewed former team strategist Cesare Prandelli, who is currently working in Dubai.
"I would consider a return if specific project guidelines and conditions were outlined.
Of course, it is probably impossible to resist the call of the homeland, and probably a thousand times I would say 'yes'," Prandelli said.
The 60-year-old specialist expressed solidarity with the criticized and failed coach Giampiero Ventura.
"I wanted to sympathize with him and call him after the match with the Swedes, but I lacked the courage.
Ventura is innocent and he should not regret anything - the system just didn't work," he said.
