C. Pulisic: Some Americans put too much pressure on me.

United States football talent Christian Pulisic raised the bar for himself in front of his compatriots' eyes. Dortmund's "Borussia" team player was named the US Footballer of the Year, but in 2017 he got stuck due to missing the opportunity to participate in the World Cup. "I don't think that pain will ever disappear. It will always be with me until I reach the World Cup. It took me some time, but finally, I moved forward and that is very important. It might even give me a greater chance to focus on club football. I think some American hopes and pressure are too big for me. But I don't have it in a bad way. I know that no one wants to hate me and no one wants to press me too much. They just do it, as they did in the past. It's the same in many countries," C. Pulisic spoke openly. Asked if his teammates in Dortmund didn't tease him for the US missing out on the World Cup, the American opened up here as well. "You know, there are always players who joke all the time, so of course, there was everything. Luckily, I wasn't the only one whose team didn't make it. Well, not lucky, but you understand what I mean... I know that everyone means well and those jokes aren't malicious. Everything is normal," the footballer said.
