Former "Monaco" coach Claudio Ranieri described the decline in the current "Chelsea" striker Radamel Falcao's playing level as "truly painful."
Falcao, representing "Manchester United" on a loan basis last year, scored only four goals, and this year, joining "Chelsea" on the same principle, has scored just one goal in the "Premier" league.
"Leicester City" coach Ranieri, who coached the Colombian national team player in his debut season in the "Ligue 1" championship, sadly observes his struggles and emphasized that it is definitely not due to a lack of effort on his part.
"It is truly regrettable because he is a great guy. He is a true champion and a very hardworking player. He is wonderful and I wish him all the best," Ranieri said in an interview with Omnisport about his former protege.
Ranieri's own season is completely different from that of his former protege, and his team, "Leicester City," is at the top of the "Premier" league after fifteen rounds.
