C. Ranieri on A. Kamara's arbitrary decision: "I wanted to kill him"

Due to Aboubakar Kamara's selfish behavior, London's "Fulham" team, fighting for survival in the English Premier League this season, almost lost crucial points, but a late goal by Aleksandar Mitrovic saved both the Frenchman and the entire team.

On Saturday, "Fulham" narrowly defeated "Huddersfield" and rose to 18th place. In the 81st minute, "Fulham" missed an 11-meter penalty, but in the 91st minute A. Mitrovic dramatically led the hosts to victory.

A. Mitrovic could have scored earlier, but the opportunity to take the 11-meter penalty was taken from him, despite being the first choice in the team.

The responsibility was taken by 23-year-old A. Kamara, but his excessive confidence almost cost the team the lost points. The striker missed the 11-meter penalty and received a harsh reaction from team coach Claudio Ranieri.

"I wanted to kill him," C. Ranieri replied when asked about his reaction after A. Kamara missed the penalty.

"It's not normal for a player to take the ball just because he scored an 11-meter penalty against Manchester United. He did it just because Mitrovic was not on the field. He's the one who should take it.

Kamara showed disrespect to me, the club, his teammates, and all the fans in the stadium. I spoke to him and told him that what he is doing is wrong," C. Ranieri did not hide his anger.

A. Mitrovic explained the situation more calmly: "We had a brief conversation, during which I said that taking penalties is my job. He didn't think the same way, but I still respect his decision. I have done the same thing in the past.

I have no problem with it - he missed, and that's part of football. He changed the game when he appeared on the field in the second half."

I can't believe it. Kamara took the penalty, when the manager said for him not to take it and misses. He's disrespecting the club, manager, and the fans. pic.twitter.com/wwr9EXXqrd - reubenharley (@reubenharley5) December 29, 2018
