Claudio Ranieri insists that despite the fact that Leicester City defeated Newcastle United yesterday and regained a five-point lead over London's Tottenham, the winner of the English championship is still completely unclear.
However, although the Foxes' Mauricio Pochettino's squad lags behind slightly, after the second victory in the last eight matches against Arsenal and Manchester City, they have respectively moved away by 11 and 12 points.
With only eight games left until the end of the season, Leicester is undoubtedly the main favorite of the Premier League.
Asked by the BBC if the title fight is only between the Foxes and the Spurs, Ranieri replied: "No, the fight is open."
"We are competing for a place in Europe, and then, maybe when there are only four or five matches left, we will only fight for the Champions League."
"I feel that we are very strong, but we only think about the next match. Our philosophy is to move step by step. I want to fight in every match."
"I just focus on the upcoming match against Crystal Palace - it will be another tough game. Focus is important. We will step onto the field ready to fight."
