Having worked with Cristiano Ronaldo for more than a decade, football agent Jorge Mendes has had tense relations with the football legend in recent months.
"El Mundo" revealed that at the end of their Portuguese collaboration, an ultimatum was made.
According to the newspaper, C. Ronaldo told his agent: "Either I join 'Chelsea' or 'Bayern' team, or we part ways."
At the end of the summer transfer window, 'Chelsea' did show interest in the 37-year-old forward, but at that time the transfer was blocked by Thomas Tuchel, who was soon dismissed. Meanwhile, the 'Bayern' team had parted ways with Robert Lewandowski.
At the end of 2022, J. Mendes and C. Ronaldo ceased to collaborate.
