Cristiano Ronaldo, after a great start to yet another season, says that he has achieved the best sports form throughout his entire football career.
The 29-year-old player has already scored 23 times in the first 17 games, and the team he represents, Madrid's "Real," is leading in the Spanish championship and has secured a place in the next stage of the UEFA Champions League.
The astonishingly skilled Portuguese player, who amazed everyone in 2014, spoke humbly about his records.
"Perhaps this is the best form of my life, but every year I try to look even better than in the previous ones," Ronaldo said, accepting the Pichichi and Alfredo Di Stefano awards from Marca. The first is awarded to the player for scoring the most goals, and the second – for the best player of the 2013-14 season in La Liga.
"There will come a time when I won't be able to get any better, but then at least I can improve my numbers. My goal and assists statistics are not that bad after all."
"I want to continue learning and working hard as I have done so far."
Cristiano Ronaldo is also considered the main favorite to win the Ballon d'Or - the award for the best player on the planet.
"Winning this award for the second or third time is always good," added the footballer. "My goal is to win everything with the team, and then – to win individually."
"I work very hard to reach a level that allows me to win all the trophies. I enjoy playing football and will never tire of winning."
