Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal had a productive evening in the Nations League.

Roberto Martinez's team advanced to the Nations League semifinals after a 5:2 victory in extra time against Denmark.

Before the match, C. Ronaldo received a Guinness World Records award for the most victories with a single national football team. However, the award might have distracted him a bit, as the veteran missed a penalty in the 6th minute.

In the first half, Joachim Andersen scored an own goal, leveling the series.

In the 56th minute, Rasmus Kristensen put the Danes ahead in the series.

In the 72nd minute, C. Ronaldo scored a goal when the ball rebounded after a shot from Bruno Fernandes.

Before the end of regular time, both teams exchanged goals, sending everything into extra time.

During extra time, Portugal's victory was sealed by goals from Francisco Trincao and Goncalo Ramos.
