C. Ronaldo, returning briefly to Madrid: "It was difficult for me to say goodbye to Real"

Returning to the capital of Spain on Monday evening, Cristiano Ronaldo received a prestigious award from the publication "Marca" for his career achievements.

Before receiving the award, C. Ronaldo had a brief conversation and meeting with his former president - Real Madrid's president Florentino Perez.

During the interview, C. Ronaldo said that Madrid still holds great memories for him and he hopes to return there at some point in his life.

"Madrid is exceptional. I travel a lot, but there are few cities like this. I am delighted to receive this award and a large part of it is for what I did while at the Real Madrid club.

This is a trophy from Spain and I am very proud to receive it. I want to thank everyone who helped me achieve this. I am very proud and hope to return to Madrid someday," said C. Ronaldo.

Later, the conversation turned to his career at the Real Madrid club and its unexpected turn.

"It was not easy for me to leave this club after so many years. Nevertheless, this season was successful and I am happy," added the Portuguese.

When asked which he misses more - playing for Man Utd or Real Madrid, C. Ronaldo added: "I miss both, but in Madrid I met my girlfriend and my children grew up here, so I miss Madrid more."
