Cristiano Ronaldo claims that the fans of Turin's Juventus were one of the reasons why he chose to continue his career in Italy after leaving Real Madrid.
The 33-year-old footballer stated in an interview that the reaction of the Juventus fans when he scored a goal against them while still wearing the Real Madrid jersey deeply affected him and stuck in his memory.
"Sometimes, small details make a difference. I think I could say that the stadium's reaction after my goal contributed to this transfer," said C. Ronaldo. "Maybe not a hundred percent, but certainly a part of it."
"In my opinion, this goal was the most beautiful in my career. When you receive such ovations in the opponent's stadium, you just think 'wow'. It surprised me because I have never experienced anything like it before," the Portuguese has previously said about this goal.
