C. Ronaldo secures place in European Championship: I hope to participate if there are no problems

Portugal became the first team, excluding host Germany, to secure a spot in the European Championship.

On their journey towards a second European champions title, the Portuguese will most likely start with Cristiano Ronaldo, who led the team forward in the match against Slovakia, scoring two goals.

After the match, C. Ronaldo said: "I hope to participate in the 2024 European Championship. There is still plenty of time.

I hope I won't have any problems or injuries, so I hope to play.

I left Portugal early in my career, but it will always be my home. The fans support me in every stadium in Portugal."
